Discouraged

That would be the word I would use for today. I got on this scale 4 more oz heavier than the day before Thanksgiving :-( Plus my feet are swollen from being on my feet all day and it is adding to my weight. Trying everything up my sleeve to get everything I can off before tomorrow mornings official "weigh-in". I may cry if it's not good news. Next week will be a strict week diet-wise. I want to learn how to make some really healthy meals...if I get a good enough paycheck...unfortunately it has to pay for a lot this week. Alright short and sweet tonight!

Hello post Thanksgiving!

Well I only gained 4 oz over Thanksgiving! I'll take that! Today I skipped my usual Biscuits and Gravy at work and opted for substitute eggs and turkey bacon. Lunch was a salad with grilled chicken and low fat poppyseed dressing. Snacks included cheese sticks and a nutrition nut mix. Dinner was skipped thanks to a craving for one more slice of the cheesecake pecan pie I made yesterday! After a detox bath to relax those muscles after a long day at work...I am feeling pretty good! Sunday is our first weight in day for the weight loss group and I'm nervous. I don't want to eat like anything tomorrow but I know that won't make things any better in the long run. What I would really like is for my knee and back to feel better so that I can start working out again but after a day on my feet at work the last thing I want to do when I get home is run or jump around. Maybe I need to start swimming after work? Sit in the hot tub afterwards to relax before I go home and go to bed? Sounds like an idea. Well long story short I was 232.6 when I woke up this morning and my goal is an even 230 Sunday. I started the week at 237.2.

Take 2000199273

Well I have been gone for quite a while. Unfortunately along with that time came a BIG weight gain. Last time I was this weight I was 9 months pregnant and ready to pop! Now all that is popping is my jeans! Starting Sunday I joined a group on Facebook of moms in the area trying to not gain weight over the holidays...my goal is going to be different though...LOSE weight over the Holidays! Some say it can't be done but I say BRING IT ON! There is a price at the end for the biggest percentage of weight loss and I plan on grabbing that price and keep on going. Would it be possible to wear that bikini again this summer? I say so! So what is my plan? Well the first is to stay away from the knee surgery that is a possibility according to my Doctor. The rest is the following. 1) I am saying my farewell to fast food! I don't care if it is a salad. The only exception might be Subway if there is no other alternative. 2) Pop is saying its good byes as well. I was never much of a pop drinker anyway but I still had my occasional flings with it...not again. Green tea and water will be the staple drinks of choice. 2) Shakeology for breakfast. Biscuits and gravy were beginning to be the norm breakfast at work and it was probably my daily allotment of calories. 3) If not at work (which requires at least 11 hours of walking and standing) I will do a 30 minutes walk nightly. It works well for my dog because it gets all of his um "waste" out for the day and wears Bailey out and gives me exercise! Perfect plan! 4) Prayer...I know this might seem weird to you but as a strong christian I am a firm believer in this. We are to respect our bodies as a temple for Him. Putting garbage food and not keeping it up to the condition He intended it to be in was not His plan for us. Praying for self-control is a major help for me. 5) DETOX- ok we all know there are going to be those days...Birthday parties, Thanksgiving, Christmas...etc that leave us feeling blah! So what to do about that? Detox everything out of your body! Thanks to Pinterest I have collected a bunch of Detox baths, drinks, skin treatments. Plus there is always the three day Shakeology cleanse. Great way to get that icky feeling out of your body. ok enough of my ranting! Keep me accountable!

I did it!

I joined as a BeachBody coach again! I just feel like I stay on track better when I'm with such an amazing group as these people! I started the Shakeology Cleanse today because me and my bestest friend are going to St. Louis this weekend and I want to look extra hot! I've already lost two pounds and I'm hoping to be down ten by the weekend! I also did the FitClub workout tonight and I feel great! My legs are like jello but it is so worth it! I love my beachbody family and working out with them because I feel like I push myself farther and harder. I will have a flat stomach by the end of summer and no one is going to stop me!

Goal

So now I am "dating" a army officer and trust me it is much different than dating a 5,000 calorie per day CF patient! We eat salads, we drink water, we talk about our workouts, we discuss fitness and nutritionh 24/7. Compared to when I used to eat out 24/7 with my ex. So needless to say it has been extremely benificially to me. It's nice to because its a sharing of a common interest. So I'm trying to workout everyday now, eating healthy including counting all my calories I intake and the calories I work off. I also ordered Calorad MG because I heard a friend had a ton of success with it so thought I would give it a shot. Also doing the shakeology again so hopefully with everything combined I will be at my goal weight of 140 this summer! Lets get going!

Hello Shakeology and Water`

It's amazing how two drinks can totally change your life around! In just three days of eliminating pop and adding Shakeology I feel more energized and I feel better in my clothes! I love it! I'm at work right now and I just can't wait to get off so that I can work out. I'm going to do 45 minutes on the elliptical tonight then go home and do sit ups and weights for my arms! I love this feeling! Plus a hot shower will feel good tonight!

Ups and Downs

For once this blog and my other blog have come together. I thought fitness had nothing to do with being a single mom. I was wrong. I have met this amazing guy and he is in the Army so...he is forcing me to also kick my butt into shape. We are going to start P90X (again for me) and he is keeping me accountable with my diet! It's nice because I don't have to dread that we are going somewhere high caloric for dinner and I have something in common with him. We may also start Jujitsu (if thats how you spell it) together! I think this may have a huge positive impact on my life!
