New Year...New Me
So its a new year which means New Year Resolutions are on their way. Every year I come up with this long, unreasonable, unobtainable list of things that I want to acheive and I don't think that there has been one year yet that I have even become close to acheiving them all. So this year instead of making a specific list detailing every little thing I am making more generalized resolutions in hope that I can atleast partially acheive them with out discouraging myself. I am going to work on being HEALTHIER, HAPPIER, and more ORGANIZED. Even if I only make little changes in those areas atleast I made my life a little better and accomplished something that I can be proud of. 2011 holds my last year of school and my last chance to prove that I will be a great nurse. I am really aiming to do well in my hardest class yet, Med-Surg, and my major goal is to get an A in the coarse. I know this is quite a stretch since I've only pulled off B's in my other clinical nursing classes but when I look back and think about it I know I didn't try my hardest and put other things above my grades. It will be hard considering I also have a wedding to plan this semester but to me the A in that class will be worth making my priorities more in line. I'd also like to try and spend as much time with my daughter. If this means finding creative ways to include her in chores, study, whatever I'm bound and determined to do it. I feel like she is growing up right before my eyes and I'm afraid that I'm going to miss something. Another step that I am going to take in may vague goal setting is to be happier with my daily tasks. Right now I'm working somewhere I really don't feel good about and its hard for me to look forward to or even somewhat enjoy my job. But its a JOB and if I go in with a positive attitude maybe it will lead to bigger and better things for me. I also am going to improve my relationships with my family and my fiance. Sometimes I am a little hard on Erik and instead of just explaining where I am coming from I jsut lash out and expect him to know whats wrong...guess what he is male and doesn't always get it. Now for the healthier part. I started back up into CrossFit only in the water due to my bad back conditions but I almost love it more than CrossFit regular style. And once we get a steady income I plan on eating at home more and healthier meals. This may mean that I have to eat different foods than my family but I know in the long run it will be worth it. Update and to-do list
Hi all! Yesterday was pretty successful! I got my exposures and follow ups! Also read and cleaned! Even managed to get some pool time in with erik! I also logged all my calories and stayed within goal...now for today:
- finish all laundry
- iron erik's shirts
- clean bathroom
- turbo fire!
- log all calories
- stay under 50 grams of sugar
- no pop
- bank run!
- shopping!
- 2 exposures and follow ups!

Personal Development
Alright so I haven't written in a while but life has been hectic. I'm trying now to manage my time better and get some things together before school starts at the end of August. Through these past few weeks I've really tried to focus on personal growth and development. I've been reading lots of motivational stuff and just focusing on the things in my life that I can improve on from the advice of those who are smarter than me! Like Chalene Johnson! I purchased TurboFire and plan to start that on Monday! I'm also going back to counting my calories! After vacation I got a little bit out of control and gained some of my weight back and I want it gone! I've also been working on my relationship with my fiance! The stress was catching up to me and I was taking it out on him so I have been working on improving the ways in which I deal with the stresses of life which surround me. I need to manage my time better and get more organized...SOOOOOO I'm starting daily to-do lists on here and plan to right a short update both in the mornings and in the evenings! I know have a coach under me and will need to help direct her in the right direction so I also need to be making the right steps as well! I'm just so encouraged to see people taking the steps to better health! We are going to beat the obesity epidemic!

Alright so according to my hero Chalene Johnson you need to make a To-Do list everyday! So here is mine both for my business and health
Business:
- 2 exposures
- post 1 video
- recheck on two potential customers
- listen to the National Call
- send event invites for the Friday Night Party
- look on the Calender and start thinking of dates for a home party
Health:
- Start the Shakeology Cleanse (Shake for breakfast, lunch and dinner, then a salad at work
- Carry a water bottle with me all day!
- Do atleast 30 minutes of cardio

Week 2 of Paleo Challenge
Alrighty here I am on week 2 of this paleo challenge and I'm surprisingly loving it! I'm down 5 pounds since we started plus there are other medical benefits I am seeing. First off my gastroparesis has almost disappeared! Secondly my hypoglycemia has been more than under control. On top of that I just feel better all around and I think my workouts have improved as well! I feel stronger and more energized.I am also doing the intermittent fasting along with it and I think that has really helped and surprisingly not messed up my hypoglycemia. I usually fast anywhere from 16-24 hours a day. I eat around 2 meals each day as well. Of course with my work schedule that is a little odd. Oh well I like the results I am seeing so far!

Paleo Time!
Hey All! Sorry I haven't written in forever but with school and everything i barely had time to breath! Well here it goes...I'm still doing P90X and CrossFit. I drink one Shakeology a day and I'm now doing the Paleo Diet! It started through a challenge put up by CrossFit! I'm excited to start it and look forward to seeing some really awesome results! Since April I have lost 20 pounds and couldn't be more happy about it! This Paleo diet is very interesting...its basically a low carb diet focusing on eating fresh foods and you can also have fruit! I'm finding it a little tough to get both workouts in some days but I'm trying my best. I have a little less than 3 weeks til vacation! Well off to make my paleo friendly dinner then hopefully getting a workout in!

Hump day!
Today started my three day shakeology cleanse! I woke up this morning and went to the crossfit workout. It was 21-15-9 of thrusters (55#) and pull ups (jumping x2). I finished at 12:55 seconds. It was an average time and I increased my thrusters weight by 30 pounds. Wel also did a 800 m run and a 5 station circuit at 2 minutes at each station. It included farmers carry (50# in each arm), row, 20# ball slams, 90pound sled, and 8# sledge hammers. It was an exhausting workout! I had my shakeology with just milk and the powder for breakfast. Lunch I screwed up and got a lite lunch at Carlos with only 530 calories. Tip of the day! Put hot sauce on everything! It boosts your metabolism! I plan on getting back on the true shakeology cleanse tomorrow! I have P90X tonight with AbRipperX! I love that workout! Also drink your water it's the bests diuretic!

Doubles Day!
Three days a week I double my workouts. CrossFit in the mornings and P90X at night! This is one of those days! Went to CrossFit at 5 AM and did a strength workout. 10-9-8-7-6-5-4-3-2-1 of deadlifts (115 pounds) and lateral hop jumps (weight bar). I finished in 7:22. I could have lifted more for my deadlift. After we worked on pull ups and double unders! Those are my weeknesses. For breakfast I ate an egg white omelet with veggies and ham and whole wheat toast with no jelly. Oh and I also had a cup of coffee cause I'm addicted! For lunch I had a Santa Fe Wrap...eggs, jalapeno cream cheese, fiesta salsa and pepperjack cheese. yummy! I was suppose to workout at the Y with my BeachBody team but the instructor was sick so we all went home and did our P90X Plyometrics workout. I did most of the reps and was exhausted by the end. After a hot bath to relax my muscles I had my Chocolate Shakeology with milk, ice, and peanut butter. Tomorrow I start what is called the three day shakeology cleanse. I will have 3 shakes a day and at night I will have a salad with unlimited veggies, 4 oz of protein and oil based dressing! I'm so excited to "cleanse" my body!

Week 6
Hello all! This is my first posting on my new Fitness blog. I'm 20 years old, I have a fiance, 2 kids, a full time job, and full time school. I'm here to prove to you that you can live a healthy live style while carrying a busy schedule! Tonight I am starting week 6 of P90X. The workout tonight is Chest, Triceps, and Back with AbRipperX. I use the Shakeology drinks from BeachBody. I love them and think that they are the best meal replacement drinks I have ever tried. If you want more information on those just go to www.myshakeology.com/samlamb. I was always a yo-yo dieter and never really stuck to one fitness program. I dreaded working out and would often skip workouts. Ever since about January when I started a program called CrossFit I have fallen in love with working out! I don't mind getting up at 4 AM to go the the 5 AM class and I don't mind staying up til 11 or 12 to get in my P90X work out! I have researched many of the BeachBody workout programs and there is not one that I don't want try or that doesn't look like it would produce amazing results! No matter where you are on your road to fitness there is a BeachBody product for you!
