Opps

Well I didn't get to post yesterday...it was an extremely busy day! I didn't do so hot on the wellness front! I was with my best friend all day and we had classes all day. Of course she is a girl with the metabolism of a godess! I on the other hand not so much. So for breakfast I had coffee, cheese sticks, and wheat thins. For lunch we had Jimmy Johns which was my worst cheat of the day. I had another package of wheat thins and some more coffee in the afternoon. I worked that night and about 9 I realized I hadn't had anything to eat since the Jimmy John's that afternoon. I knew I had more than hit my calorie limit for the day so I decided to just go to bed. I did however drink 3 liters of water throughout the day. Let me tell you I peed like a horse all day! That combined with the coffee was a lethal combination. Today I work from 10-2 then I plan to get my legs and cardio in, tonight I will get my abs and arms. I had to rush to work so I didn't get anything but coffee for breakfast. I plan on going home after I workout and shower and grabbing a shakeology with fiber and peanut butter before I head off to work tonight. Tonight at work I'm going to grab some subway to eat later in the evening. Rest is something else that I'm realizing is really important in weight loss. If you don't get enough rest you aren't going to have the energy to do your workouts during the day. Plus it slows down your metabolism. I'm also going to go shop for some healthy snacks so that I can eat 6 small meals during the day. I want to drink atleast 3 liters of water a day so that is my goal. On the plus side this week I did not have one sip of pop!!! Yay for me!

Early Post

I'm posting now because I'm going to be beyond busy tonight so I won't be able to do much else tonight. It's already been a busy day but I have gotten a ton accomplished! This is mainly thanks to the fact that I use a to-do list that I make every night! Then I make a schedule...it's a minute by minute list of when and where I'm going to do everything all day...this helps me schedule my down time and still have time to get everything else done that needs to be done. I started off my morning getting in a few hours working at the Y. I did two orientations and I usually do 5-10 reps on each machine per person when orienting. So I basically got in my weight part of my workout there. I then met my friend Ashleigh to do cardio at the DISC. We did 15 minutes on the bikes and 15 minutes on the eliptical. According to the machine I only burned 240 calories but I didn't have my correct weight in there so it was a little more than that. I feel so much lighter so I will probably weigh tomorrow to see if I've lost any! I had 2 cheese sticks and 5 wheat crackers for breakfast (not a big breakfast person) and a cup of coffee for breakfast, for lunch I had a grilled chicke salad with a lite ceasar dressing. Tonight I will have another grilled chicken garden salad with a little bit of ranch and lots of vegetables on it! I have given up pop so all I drink during the day is coffee, water, or a shake! I feel so good! I know I will keep this up because I have seen positive results! I have more energy, I can feel my muscles ache after a workout and my stomach is never bloated anymore! YAY!

Doing better today

Well I had clinical this morning and all I had was a cup of coffee and an egg sandwich on an english muffin. For lunch I had a small salad and about a cup of turkey chili. As for exercise...haven't gotten there yet...I will update this at the end later tonight to let you know what I actually did. I plan on doing P90X Ab Ripper if I can remember the moves...then do some arm exercises with my new 10lb weights I bought the other day. I will do my cardio and weight machines tomorrow at the Y. I'm feeling much less bloated and large today lol. I look forward to getting back to looking like the picture below!

UPDATE: I had cheese sticks and wheat fiber crackers for dinner. I wasn't very hungry after that, just mainly been thirsty lately! I did ab ripper WHILE Bailey sat on my stomach, along with push ups and some squats and arm weight stuff. Looking forward to working the Y tomorrow and working out with Ashleigh! I feel great!

Monday Monday

Ok so today was my first day working at the Y so I really had no excuse not to work out. So after work I did the rowing machine, a few arms machines, and a few leg machines. I also cleaned all morning and that was a workout in itself! As for the diet. I had two shakes and a salad. I know that is less than you are suppose to eat but I didn't have power this morning at my house and I really wasn't hungry enough the rest of the day. Tomorrow will be hard as well because I am staying the night at my friend's house in Springfield tonight and have clinical way early in the morning so I again won't get my morning shake in! I may extend the cleanse a couple days because this will be way easier to do towards the end of the week when I don't have work or clinical early in the morning. I love my new job at the Y though. It's just a great atmosphere and I can look up nutrition and fitness stuff all the time...plus I learn abou the equipment and classes that they offer! It was the perfect timing for me! Well off to study Med-Surg!

Redo----AGAIN

Ok so I kinda said good bye to the health game over the holidays. I'm sickened by how much I let myself go...and I have to fix it. So today I start the Shakeology Cleanse to start me off...I'm also going to do Chalene workout I think (I'll repost tonight and let you know)...so here we go again! I'll let you know tonight how it went!

New Year...Completely New Me

I usually hate this saying because I think that you shouldn't have to wait for a new year to adjust who you are if it isn't who you want to me. Well I didn't get a choice in the 'new me' aspect. My fiance and boyfriend for the past two years of my life decided he just wasn't happy anymore last night and decided to end our relationship. I had a lot planned for the wedding, our kids grew up calling the other mom or dad, he was extremely close to my family. I love him to this day and I know he loves me too. We live together and share some finances so its almost like being married so this feels like a divorce! Well my goals and resolutions have a little bit of a change in them now. I still want the best for my kid, him, and me. But I don't have as much influence on that middle one anymore. Luckily I have the support of friends and family to get me through this. I want to be healthier in 2011. I want to watch what I eat, drink, and exercise. I'm going to swear off pop. I know it may seem extreme but I gain the most weight when I drink soda. I'm also going to make sure I get in exercise everyday even if its just playing with my daughter. Next I want to be in a better financial situation. This will be hard at first because I will have to pay for my own apartment and bills now with out much help except from family. But by this time next year I will be a nurse and I will be where I need to be. I also want to do a lot of personal development in 2011. I am starting a challange and I'm starting CarSmart and personal development books. MY school goals include atleast a B in my Med-Surg class and an A in my Research class. I want to focus on studying on peds outside of my regular schooling as well. I know this is a lot but I will make it. Erik and I are still going to be friends as well and I plan to support him on all that he does. Well thats it...my new list for 2011
